Joplin duplex set to open later this spring
ERC awards banquet proved to be very lucky
The Luck of the Irish was plentiful at the March 16 ERC annual recognition banquet. More than 300 staff and guests took
advantage of a great party and live band at the Ramada Oasis.
Employees of the Year were Kori Catlett, Cassville Team Manager, for Monett and Tonya DeLozier, payroll clerk, for
Randall Hargis was there to accept the Community Service Award for Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield. Monett honors went
to Access Home Health Care, for the Community Service Award. Guardians of the Year recipients were Judy Littrell from
Monett and Kim and Joe Ginn from Springfield.
In addition to those awards, staff service awards were presented for one, five, ten, 15, and 20 years of employment at The
Arc. A record 192 first year recognitions were presented, with each receiving a certificate and book bag.
Tile is chosen; paint colors, too as the duplex for clients in the Joplin Renovations program is well underway. Funding for the furnishings
continues for the duplex which will house six individuals. To help with this, contact Julie Guillebeau 417 864 7887.
Specific accommodations are included in building materials and furnishings to ensure that the clients with a dual diagnosis will gain the
most from living in this environment. The general contractor is Deborah Shantz Hart. The Community Foundation of Southwest
Missouri and the City of Joplin contributed a combined total of $125,000 for the construction.
