Joplin Trick or Trot was a Great Success

On Saturday, October 10th The Arc of the Ozarks held it’s first event in Joplin, MO, the Trick or Trot 5k, 10k, and One Mile Fun Run. With over 60 runners and 10 sponsors, the event proved to be a a wonderful addition to preexisting      annual events held by The Arc. The Arc Trick or Trot took place at Landreth Park in Joplin at 8am to raise awareness and funding for individuals with disabilities receiving services through The Arc’s Joplin Division. The 5K, 10K and One Mile Fun Run took runners through the beautiful trails at the park for a nice race followed by delicious frozen yogurt provided by Orange Leaf. Along with the support of local companies sponsoring the event Joplin’s KSNF –TV Chief Meteorologist Stacey Garvilla emceed the event keeping runners encouraged throughout the morning. Following the race, prizes were awarded for top runners overall and age division medals were given out. Overall, the race raised over $2,000 for the Joplin Division.
