During the last week of September 2015, one of our amazing individuals was able to go on her dream vacation to Disney World. Allene had been saving her money for over a year to go on this trip of a lifetime. Allene earned her money at her job with the Springfield Workshop. She has been employed at the workshop four years. With the assistance of her staff, Audra Trout and a travel agency, Allene made monthly payments totaling $3,000 for her and staff to head to Florida. The total cost covered the flight both ways (for both individuals), passes for 6 days to all the Disney Parks, food passes, and a refillable mug for the trip. Some of Allene’s favorite parts of the trip included: swimming, riding the water safari ride in the Animal Kingdom, riding the Evolution of Technology ride at the Epcot Center and the Roaring River Ride in the Magic Kingdom. Her favorite ride of the entire trip was the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cup ride at the Magic Kingdom. Not only did Allene save her money to go on this great trip, but she also saved money to buy souvenirs. The Arc is thrilled that Allene was able to make this dream come true and cannot wait to watch her achieve her next goal of going to New York City.
