Mary Beth Steckel has been elected to serve on The Arc of the Ozarks Board of Directors. Mary Beth has a passion for serving individuals with disabilities and is looking forward to serving on the board.
Steckel, a nurse with 20 years of experience moved to Springfield in January to support her husband, Dave Steckel, the Head Football Coach for Missouri State University. The two are passionate about disability services. As parents of a daughter with disabilities, Mary Beth will bring great knowledge and experience to the Board.
Michael Powers, The Arc President/CEO stated, “We are excited to have Mary Beth join our Board of Directors. Her experience as a parent and local ties to the Springfield community will be a great asset to the growth of our agency.”
The Arc of the Ozarks Board of Directors is comprised of individuals from the medical, business, academic communities in the Ozarks. Twenty percent of our board is comprised of parents/guardians. It is the Board’s responsibility to provide counsel and guidance in the direction and operation of The Arc as well as it is to raise awareness of The Arc of the Ozarks services to the surrounding communities.
