The Arc Named Charity of the Year

The Arc of the Ozarks has been a benefiting charity of the Price Cutter Charity Championship for 11 years. The Celebration of Sharing luncheon was held on Tuesday, December 8 to distribute the raised funds to the 44 charities who contributed to the 2015 tournament. The Arc serves on the Golf Ball & Charity Auction committee as well as the VIP Tent all four days of the tournament checking identification and handing out wristbands. This year, The Arc sponsored the Go Blue for Autism Championship Sunday where we raised awareness of autism and the services we provide. In total, the tournament awarded $900,145 to 44 local children’s charities.

The Arc was nominated for the PGA Web.com National Charity of the Year by the Price Cutter Tournament staff. The tournament staff were notified that out of 36 Web.com PGA tours and over 1,000 amazing organizations – The Arc of the Ozarks had received the honor and were awarded $30,000.

“With charity serving as the backbone of the Web.com Tour, there is arguably no honor more prestigious than the Charity of the Year Award,” said Web.com Tour President Bill Calfee. “The Arc of the Ozarks, in conjunction with the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper, has helped countless individuals and families throughout Missouri in over 50 years of effort and dedication.

The Arc is proud to be a benefiting charity of The Price Cutter Charity Championship. With the annual distribution and the Charity of the Year award, The Arc received almost $50,000 from the PCCC. These donations will be used for the No Limits Summer Camp program that offers fun for children and young adults ages 6-21 with developmental disabilities. This experience provides a wide variety of activities designed to promote the educational and recreational interest of each camper.
