For a lifelong Chiefs fan, experiencing Arrowhead Stadium on gameday is the dream. On December 18th, this dream became reality for one of our Residential clients, Cameron. “I don’t think there are words to describe the trip but if there’s a group of words that can describe it they’d be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, said Cameron when staff asked him about the trip. His trip began at 8:30am and involved a 2-hour road trip to Kansas City listening to some of his favorite music. At the stadium, Cameron met up with his dad. The game began and Cameron joined other lifelong Chiefs fans in the “Tomahawk Chop”. The game continued and Cameron spent time purchasing souvenirs and enjoying a Chiefs Steak sandwich. When the game concluded, the Chiefs had lost by 2 points. This was a bummer but you wouldn’t have known it by looking at the smile on Cameron’s face. Cameron said goodbye to his dad at the stadium and began the journey back home. He stopped along the way at Smith’s restaurant in Clinton where he charmed the waitresses and got a free slice of pie to take home with him. After a long day of travel Cameron arrived home. The day was filled with fun experiences but to Cameron the best part was, “when they scored, and they yelled and it was loud.”
